ABOUT US
Before “the great reset” we were home to Thoroughbreds, but we’ve decided to switch direction and breed the wonderful Icelandic Horse! We might pick up another breed a little later on, but the main focus will be the Icelandics.
BREEDING GOALS
We are breeding for foals with very high stats and correct colors! Our main goal is to breed horses that will excel in the show ring. We also want to breed true-to-life colors and patterns. The majority of Icelandic Horses are black, brown, bay, or chestnut and pinto markings are allowed. Though these colors are the most common, all colors are allowed except for the spotted pattern. We are attempting to breed the LP gene out of horses that have the <SA> brand.
SHOSHANA FOALS
All of our foals will be named and branded before leaving the ranch. Every foal will be in training since birth so they have a good start to whatever their new owner would like to do with them! Our prices will reflect your new addition having received training and genetic tests. DNA and pattern tests will be run before the horses is placed for sale so potential buyers will know for a fact if the horse will fit into their training/breeding program. That being said, it costs us $3,051 to raise a baby to a weanling, including training and all genetic tests. PLEASE keep that in mind when considering purchasing any of our horses. If, for some reason, a foal missed out on training due to an injury or for another reason, it will be stated in their notes and reflected in their price. We want you to know exactly what you are getting when you purchace one of our horses.
